The 21st Domino Pizza National Youth Baseball Tournament, organized by Domino Pizza, came to a close on November 11. A total of 133 teams competed in the tournament, which ran from October 30 to November 11. After 12 days of intense competition, the Yongin Suji District Youth Baseball Team emerged as the champion.
This tournament is one of Domino Pizza’s flagship sports sponsorship initiatives. Since its inception in 2005, it has hosted a total of 2,019 teams, establishing itself as a prestigious event for young baseball players. Many notable baseball stars have launched their careers through this tournament, including Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Kim Hye-seong, KT Wiz pitcher So Hyung-jun, Doosan Bears’ Park Jun-soon, and Kia Tigers’ Sung Young-tak.
Domino Pizza continues to expand its engagement with baseball fans through various activities. It has sponsored the KBO League since 2016, and last year, in collaboration with the KBO, launched a single-serving pizza called “Ssuebja.” Additionally, the company is hosting a giveaway event for its app members, offering tickets to the Lotte versus Hanwha game scheduled for November 20. Fans can enter the draw until November 17.
A Domino Pizza representative expressed gratitude, stating, “We deeply thank all the players and staff who participated with such passion, helping make the 21st edition of this tournament a great success. We will continue to strive to be a brand that supports the development of youth baseball and Korean sports as a whole.”
